We decided to build this framework after too many frustrating attempts to customize other open source solutions.
We did not want to reinvent the wheel, so it made sense to leverage existing technology. After exhaustive research and testing the Zend Framework, Jquery, and FckEditor were included in the core.
These incredible open source projects give us a huge foundation of functionality. The DSF framework then manages this functionality in a standardized way. We can now combine all of this built in functionality with clean object oriented PHP and produce custom modules unbelievably quickly.
