WHAT?

We build simple websites that do astonishing things.

Economic Empowerment

We developed an interactive platform for Women Win and Standard Chartered bank that uses stories to show how girls can be economically empowered through sport programmes.

WOMEN WIN'S PARTNERS

Women Win invests in sport programmes to create a group of “best in class” community-based organizations. We developed this module for their website that enables them to share their partners' stories and multimedia.

tufts student resources

TSR is a non-profit organization that gives students real world business management experience. We developed an ecommerce platform that enables them to create a custom workflow for each of their unique products.

Membership

Managing Women Win's expanding user base was becoming a challenge, so we developed a membership server that enables contributors to create a single identity and gives them access to all of Women Win sites.

next project

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We integrated Reusit.com's existing ecommerce platform with Digitalus CMS, enabling them to manage their knowledge base in a much more efficient way without affecting their current work flow.

next project

engage the community

We developed the collaborative platform for Women Win's guidelines that enables members to give back, sharing their experiences, multimedia, and even creating their own versions of the guide.

next project

Translations

We developed a three-stage approach to internationalization that publishes official language versions and member-submitted translations when available, but defaults to Google's translation API.

WHY?

We're not rocket scientists. You don't have to be one either.

Every day some CMS releases a new feature. The next day the rest of the field scrambles to add that feature and one of their own.

This race is creating software that is easier to sell, not use.

Our goal is to rise above this one-upmanship and build websites that enable real people to focus on their message, not their software.

We have found one common pattern in our user experience research; the most widely used websites are also the simplest.

People prefer these sites because they “don't have to remember how to use them”. These sites exemplify what we call sustainable web practices.

sustainable web practices[suh-stey-nuh-buhl web prak-tis-is] -pl n

Definition: a collection of best practices for creating websites that value and promote usability, accessibility, and longevity.

HOW?

A blend of technology, creativity and common sense.

We have developed  a straightforward workflow that focuses on communication and embraces change. The foundation of this process is built on a combination of agile development and the Kanban production system, but we adapt these principals to fit the unique organizations we work with.

Step 1: Talk

We start with your goals and vision. We want to learn not just what you want to do, but, also, why you want to do it. With a clear purpose in mind, we sketch out your project plan together.

Step 2: Build

If a picture is worth a thousand words then a working model is worth a million. We'll spare you the diagrams, charts, clipart, etc. and get right to creating what you have in mind.

Step 3: Play

Now, it's time to roll up your sleeves and see how it works in the real world. Then, we will ask you one question: Is there any way we can improve upon it?
